Experience an evening of exciting, in-the-moment theatre, as award-winning LA acting coach, David Razowsky, directs a cast of top local actors through a series of fully improvised scenes.
Razowsky is a force of nature, widely regarded as the world's greatest teacher of improvised acting. This will be a thoroughly entertaining evening and a rare chance to see a master of his art in action.
Local actors will take to the stage with no script to guide them. They will be relying on their wit, their quick minds, and their lifetimes of experience to create improvised scenes that will delight you.
Improvisation is not for the faint-hearted, but these fine actors will have award-winning LA acting coach David Razowsky there to guide them through their scenes. It will be a night not to be missed.
David Razowsky is in Christchurch to teach an intensive masterclass in the art of "Improvising as an Actor". Razowsky is a legend of the US comedy scene, having come up the ranks alongside the likes of Steve Carrell and Stephen Colbert, and was the Artistic Director of LA's famous Second City training program which produced many household names, like Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
This show, "A Guided Performance with David Razowsky", comes at the conclusion of the 3-day masterclass. The actors will be primed and ready to take the stage to amaze you.

Inspired by true secrets anonymously submitted by the audience, the actors instantly create a montage of hilarious and heartbreaking scenes and monologues.
Philadelphia director, Bobbi Block, brings her critically acclaimed show, SECRETS, to Christchurch for the first time. The performers, inspired by true-life secrets, take you on an incredible, emotional journey. Just like real life, and real people, the scenes can range from dark and compelling, to light and uplifting, to downright hilarious.
Bobbi Block is the Founder/Producing Artistic Director of the critically acclaimed Tongue & Groove Spontaneous Theatre. She has a Masters degree in Theatre and has trained with master improvisers at renowned improv theatres around the US including Annoyance, IO and Second City. She currently teaches Improvisation at Temple University and Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Bobbi will be working with the performers over an intensive weekend of training starting on the Friday night, and working right through the weekend in the lead-up to the show.
SECRETS has been performed in Holland and Brazil, and at the NZ Fringe Festival - but will be in Christchurch for ONE SHOW ONLY. Don't miss it.
