Do you want to upgrade your mime and clown skills? As well as being a lot of fun, these skills really add to your physical presence on stage.
We’re very fortunate to have a top teacher right here in Christchurch. Danny Lee is the creative director and premiere performer of Circotica and a very experienced physical performance teacher. He will be running a full day workshop on Sunday, August 4th.
The Workshop
This special workshop will work on various aspects of physical performance, with a focus on mime skills and clowning. This is going to be a really fun workshop where you’ll learn valuable physical skills that you can bring to any kind of performance.
About Danny Lee
Danny Lee is the creative director and premiere performer of Circotica, based in Christchurch. He graduating with a Diploma in Circus Arts from C.P.I.T in 2005 under the tutelage of Stanislav Shchukin, famous clown of the Moscow State Circus. Locally, he’s worked as a core member of the Loons Circus Theatre Company, Christchurch Circus Trust and Fuse Circus NZ. And has recently collaborated with prodigious clown and mime artist Thom Monckton and the Kallo Collective (Finland).
Danny also has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, and recently attained his Master of Professional Practice.
